Artist’s Statement
I am drawn to exploring the hidden, dark corners of human understanding — those that lie beyond visible boundaries, where contradictions between the visible and the invisible reveal an alternative perspective and create distorted, absurd, sometimes eerie or grotesque images.
In my projects, I strive to create unreal spaces where time and the otherworldly intertwine, and the boundaries between truth and fiction disappear. For me, reality is not simply what we see, but something more multilayered, and we ourselves partially create it.
I turn to images and symbols, relying on documentary sources to explore existing theories and form my own narratives, sometimes concealing social issues beneath them.
In working with objects, video, or installations, it is important for me to combine the traditional and the experimental, often assuming the role of a witness.
Born in 1985 in the city of Bender.
Currently lives and works in Moscow.
